20-Feb-2014 - La Facilité africaine de l’eau (FAE) a participé, le 29 janvier 2014, à la cérémonie de lancement des travaux de construction d’infrastructures destinées à mobiliser de l’eau à des fins domestique et agricole à Saday. Au terme du projet, plus de 100 000 personnes auront ainsi un meilleur accès aux ressources en eau.
Outre son soutien technique, la FAE avait accordé, en janvier 2008, un don de 2 millions d’euros au gouvernement de la République de Djibouti pour soutenir ce projet.
20-Feb-2014 - On 19 February 2014, Mehdi Jomaa, head of the Tunisian government, and Donald Kaberuka, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), met to discuss how to strengthen efforts to bring about sustainable development in Tunisia.
Kaberuka took the opportunity to reiterate AfDB support for the Tunisian government to adopt the new constitution. When this constitution was promulgated on 7 February 2014, AfDB hailed Tunisia and its leaders for their commitment to the path of dialogue and consensus.

As such, he took part in the latest series of consultations in London.
14-Feb-2014 - On Wednesday, September 17, 2014 the African Development Bank (AfDB) signed a three-way agreement with the Government of Sierra Leone and the World Health Organization (WHO) to provide US $1 million. This is part of an overall pledge of $4 million which the AfDB will give to the four countries affected by the Ebola virus. The money will help in the hiring and training of healthcare professionals and the purchasing of medical supplies and equipment to contain the spread of the virus.

12-Feb-2014 - On February 10, 2014, the African Development Bank’s Resident Representative in Sudan, Abdul Kamara, led a mission to White Nile State to supervise the Emergency Assistance that is rehabilitating schools affected by floods. The mission was accompanied by an audiovisual profile team that seeks to profile AfDB-financed projects in the broader East Africa Region. The mission was received by State Commissioner Mohamed Ali Fadlala, responsible for Ed Deweim locality at the Directorate of Education in White Nile State.
12-Feb-2014 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) on Wednesday, February 5 2014 in Tunis approved Mauritius’ Country Strategy Paper (CSP) for 2014-2018. The CSP provides the Bank’s strategic business plan in Mauritius for the five-year period.
12-Feb-2014 - On Wednesday, March 5, 2014 the African Development Bank (AfDB) successfully issued a new a USD 1 billion three-year global benchmark due on May 15, 2017.
The benchmark was announced on March 4, 2014 for execution the following day. Overnight, the joint lead managers gathered more than USD 1.5 billion in expressions of interest, a clear demonstration of the high level of attention the transaction was drawing on the market.
12-Feb-2014 - Furthering its role as a leading voice on green growth in Africa, the African Development Bank (AfDB) is the first regional development Bank to participate in the Green Growth Knowledge Platform (GGKP), a multi-stakeholder knowledge network including international organizations, bilateral agencies and academic institutions. The Geneva-based Secretariat of this new, state-of-the-art knowledge-sharing platform was officially launched at a high-level event at the end of January.
