22-Oct-2010 - Tunis, 21 October 2010- Deputies representing donor countries concluded the Twelfth Replenishment of the African Development Fund (ADF-12) on October 7, 2010, with agreement on an increase of 10.6 percent in total donor resources for the period 2011-2013. Donors and Management agreed that this represented a strong vote of confidence in the Fund, its leadership and its role in African development, and is a significant achievement in the exceptionally challenging fiscal conditions that all countries face.
22-Oct-2010 - Tunis, 21 October 2010 – Donors concluded negotiations of the Twelfth Replenishment of the African Development Fund (ADF-12), the concessional window of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group that provides grants and concessional loans to Africa’s low income countries. They agreed on a replenishment level of USD 9.5 billion for the ADF over the next three years (2011-2013), a 10.6 percent increase in donor contributions over ADF-11.
22-Oct-2010 - Tripoli, October 18, 2010 – The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Libyan Export Promotion Council (LEPC) on Monday, 18 October 2010 in Tripoli, launched the institution’s first project in Libya.
The project, a technical assistance support to the Libyan Export Promotion Center - financed with a USD 746,971 grant from the Bank’s Middle Income Country (MIC) Trust Fund, is set up to address critical needs for capacity building, institutional strengthening and private sector development.
