03/04/2019 - Overall economic growth in West Africa is projected to be at 3.6 percent in 2019 and 2020, boosted by the recovery of commodity prices and improved production and service sectors in the region, although challenges and uneven performance would remain, the African Development Bank’s regional economic indicator report revealed.

04/03/2016 - A high level meeting took place on February 25, 2016 between a delegation of the West African Health Organization (WAHO) and the Human and Social Development Department (OSHD) of the African Development Bank to discuss further collaboration between the two institutions. 27/03/2015 - It has been one year since the World Health Organization officially announced the outbreak of the Ebola virus in West Africa. Since March 23, 2014, the African Development Bank has played a prominent role in fighting back Ebola Virus Disease (EVD). The institution’s support of the three hardest-hit countries of Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone has never wavered.
