03/04/2019 - Overall economic growth in West Africa is projected to be at 3.6 percent in 2019 and 2020, boosted by the recovery of commodity prices and improved production and service sectors in the region, although challenges and uneven performance would remain, the African Development Bank’s regional economic indicator report revealed.

05/02/2019 - The African Development Bank and the Economic Community Of West African States Commission (ECOWAS) have signed an agreement for a study into a 1,000 kilometre highway linking Cote d’Ivoire’s commercial capital Abidjan, to Lagos in Nigeria, marking a new step in building regional integration and trade.

28/01/2019 - De jour comme de nuit, les transporteurs et chauffeurs routiers peuvent désormais franchir la frontière et parcourir les 975 kilomètres du tronçon Lomé-Ouagadougou en moins de trois jours. Depuis que la route a fini d’être réhabilitée, en octobre 2017 après cinq ans de travaux, leur trajet est devenu beaucoup moins éreintant, moins risqué et plus rapide.

19/11/2018 - Located 350 kilometres north of Lomé, Sokodé, the second-largest city in Togo, was the epicentre of three cholera outbreaks in 2013. That same year, the African Development Bank made a €1.15 million grant to the city through the African Water Facility, to fund the "Toilets for All in Sokodé" project. There have been no outbreaks of cholera in Sokodé since then.

19/09/2017 - Agriculture, which employs 70% of Togo's workforce and contributes nearly 39% of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), is the mainstay of Togo’s economy.

In the effort to modernise agriculture, the government received assistance from the African Development Bank (AfDB) which enabled the creation of an e-wallet project that has transformed the lives of many of the country's agricultural producers.

22/03/2017 - The New Partnership for Africa’s Development Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility (NEPAD-IPPF) hosted by the African Development Bank (AfDB) held discussions with the Infrastructure Project Preparation and Development Unit (PPDU) of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) based in Lomé, Togo, with a view to strengthening collaboration on the preparation of regional infrastructure projects in West Africa.

25/03/2016 - La Banque africaine de développement (BAD) a organisé, le 23 mars 2016 à Abidjan, en Côte d'Ivoire, un atelier sur la compétitivité en Afrique de l'Ouest francophone. Cet atelier s'est appuyé sur les conclusions du Rapport 2015 sur la compétitivité en Afrique, qui s'intitule " Transformer les économies d'Afrique. ". Ce rapport biennal est une publication conjointe de la BAD, du Forum économique mondial, de la Banque mondiale et, depuis 2015, de l'Organisation de coopération et de développement économiques (OCDE).
