01-Aug-2013 - The African Development Fund-financed Mzuzu-Nkhata Bay Road Rehabilitation Project in Malawi was launched on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. The project involves widening of the 46-kilometre road between the northern city of Mzuzu and Nkhata Bay district, from the current 4.2 metres to 6.7 m and construction of an asphalt-concrete surface with 1.5-m sealed shoulders.

30-Jul-2013 - On July 12, Ernest Bai Koroma, President of Sierra Leone, launched the new national development plan for the period 2013-2018 called “Agenda for Prosperity” (A4P). The support provided by the African Development Bank in mainstreaming green growth in the A4P was largely acknowledged by the Government – the national vision being for Sierra Leone to be an inclusive, green, middle-income country by 2035.
