G-20 Summit in Toronto: Strengthening Africa’s Voice

25-Jun-2010 - African Development Bank (AfDB) Group President, Donald Kaberuka, will participate in the G-20 leaders meeting in Toronto from 26-27 June 2010.  At the institution’s recent Annual Meetings in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, in May 2010, Mr. Kaberuka was re-elected as the institution’s president for a second five-year term.  As with previous G-20 Summits, Mr. Kaberuka will attend in his capacity as a member of the African Union delegation.

BAD: 52 millions USD pour approvisionner Nouakchott en ea

28-May-2010 - Rédigé par  Gomon Edmond   Nouakchott sera mieux approvisionné en eau potable grâce à la convention que l’Etat mauritanien a signée avec la Banque africaine de développement (BAD), le jeudi 27 mai dernier, à Abidjan-Cocody en marge de la 45ème  Assemblée annuelle de l’institution. Le projet d’approvisionnement en eau a un coût d’une valeur de 52 millions USD. Le ministre mauritanien des Finances, Ahmed Ould Moulaye, a indiqué que c’est la dernière tranche du programme d’adduction d’eau de Nouakchott  qui pourra être exécutée grâce à ce contrat.

Private Sector-More than USD 1 Billion Projects in 2009

28-May-2010 - The Private Sector Department of the African Development Bank (AfDB) continually develops and finances projects in various areas of infrastructure (energy, transport and communications), as well as supporting operations in the financial and industrial sectors. Private sector approved operations n 2009 came to UA 1.16 billion, or approximately FCFA 7.5 billion. They included loans, projects and lines of credit, equity investment, and private guarantees. Private sector approvals represent 14.3% of total AfDB Group approvals for 2009.

La BAD accorde au Mali en matière de gestion des eaux
