Presenting the Independent Review Mechanism to the Bank Staff
Tunis, 28 June 2007 - A group of experts recently appointed by the Board of Directors on Thursday in Tunis held a seminar with operations staff to shed light on the Independent Review Mechanism set up by CRMU. The experts, including Mrs. Maartje Van Putten, Dr. Madiodio Niasse and Mr. Daniel Bradlow, shared their experiences with the World Bank’s Independent Review Panel. They also focused on the ecological dimension and water resources management as well as the legal aspects of review mechanisms. The seminar, which was presided over by Dr. Madiodio Niasse, was attended by TRIB Executive Secretary, Lippou-Massala, CRMU Director, Per Eldar Sovik ; ORPC.1 Chief Gender Specialist, Laeticia Mukurasi; ORWA Country Economist, Sylvie Condé ; Bank Group Ombudsman, James Nabina; GECL Chief Legal Counsel, Seaward Cooper as well as other Bank experts.
