04/04/2019 - One hundred and sixty young women have begun a month-long coding class on two Nigerian campuses under a new programme to give African youth digital skills for the work force. The Coding for Employment programme, organised by the African Development Bank and Microsoft Philanthropies, prioritises young women who typically have been side-lined in the technology ecosystem.

14/03/2019 - The African Development Bank will double its climate finance commitments for the period 2020-2025, the Bank’s President announced today at the One Planet Summit taking place in Nairobi. Akinwumi A. Adesina said that the Bank would commit at least US$25 billion towards climate finance.
