31-Mar-2014 - The African Union Commission (AUC) and the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work closely together on the development of education across the continent of Africa. The ceremony for the signing of the MoU took place in Tunis on March 24 at the African Development Bank, where ADEA is hosted.
The two organizations will jointly develop and implement programs aimed at achieving Africa’s collective goals in education.

The project brings to 13 the number of active operations in the Bank’s public investment portfolio in Senegal, which represents a net amount committed of 227.7 million Units of Account (approximately 167.3 CFA francs).

14-Mar-2014 - The African Development Bank Group has launched a competition for young African design students to design a logo for its newest department, “the African Natural Resources Centre” (ANRC). The winner, who must be enrolled in a design program at an African educational institution, will be invited to the launching ceremony of the ANRC at the AfDB Annual Meetings in Kigali, Rwanda. The contest aims to give exposure to emerging talent on the African continent. The deadline for submission is 14 April.
