15-Mar-2019 - Le Président de la République de Guinée-Bissau, José Mário Vaz, a officiellement posé la première pierre du poste à haute-tension (225 KV) de Saltinho, dans le cadre du projet Energie de l’Organisation pour la mise en valeur du fleuve Gambie (OMVG), dont la Banque africaine de développement est le partenaire clé. Egypt affirms support for the African Development Bank, regional integration agenda
14-Mar-2019 - Egypt has affirmed its strong support for the African Development Bank as a development partner and is committed to strengthening regional integration, the country’s Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly said during a meeting in Cairo with a Bank delegation. Madbouly affirmed Egypt's readiness to work with the African Development Bank. “We are working hard to strengthen our relationships with African nations and the African Development Bank is a very important partner,” the Prime Minister said.
The African Development Bank pledges US$ 25 billion to climate finance for 2020-2025, doubling its commitments
14-Mar-2019 - The African Development Bank will double its climate finance commitments for the period 2020-2025, the Bank’s President announced today at the One Planet Summit taking place in Nairobi. Akinwumi A. Adesina said that the Bank would commit at least US$25 billion towards climate finance.

South Sudan nets US$ 14.2 million in non-oil revenue for first time, with the support of the African Development Bank
05-Mar-2019 - South Sudan has achieved its highest ever receipt of US$14.2 million in non-oil tax revenues for the first time in the nation’s history, through the efforts of a revamped state revenue authority. The impressive result - recorded at the end of January 2019 - is evidence that the Non-Oil Revenue Mobilization and Accountability (NORMA) project in South Sudan, set up with a US$14.8 million grant from the African Development Bank to improve domestic resource mobilization in the non-oil sector, is achieving its objectives.

Equatorial Guinea to host African Development Bank’s 2019 Annual Meetings in Malabo
04-Mar-2019 - Equatorial Guinea will host the African Development Bank’s next Annual Meetings in June 2019, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two parties. The Annual Meetings will take place from 11th to 14th June, 2019 in the country’s capital city, Malabo. “The Government and people of Equatorial Guinea are ready and look forward to hosting the African Development Bank’s flagship event in 2019,” said Mr. Bernardo Abaga Ndong, general coordinator of the National Technical Committee in charge of the Annual Meetings.
