16-May-2018 - The African Development Bank has approved US$ 20 million facility to boost lending to small and medium-sized enterprises in Liberia.
The loan, approved by the Board of Directors of the Bank on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, is a trade finance package for three Liberian commercial banks: Liberian Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI); International Bank of (Liberia) Limited (IBL) and Afriland First Bank Liberia Limited.
14-May-2018 - “Sewer bursts had become a common feature, sometimes the sewage would find its way into the house, it was horrible,” says 54-year-old Ellen Chingodza, a Ruwa resident for the past 24 years.
“We did not get water from our taps for more than 10 years here in Ruwa, and we had become prone to water borne diseases, especially cholera,” said 24-year-old expectant mother, Pauline Tamai.
“I was receiving estimated water bills due to the faulty water meter,” chipped in another resident, Mutenda.

Titled “Business Strategy for expansion into Sub-Saharan Africa – Challenges and opportunities for Southern African companies”, the day-long event focused on assisting medium- and large-scale Southern African companies to expand beyond their domestic markets.

The competition selected the most promising young innovators and entrepreneurs in agriculture and agribusiness and provided competitors with training in innovative capacity.
