One hundred and sixty corporate, commercial and industry achievers from Libya are receiving specialized  leadership and management training in the public and private sector and civil society, organized by Tamayoz, an initiative designed to strengthen leadership capacity at management decision-making levels.

The 10 day leadership course is taking place from 20-30th January 2019 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Tamayoz, which means distinction and uniqueness in Arabic, is led by the African Development Bank and the Government of Libya, and implemented by UK-based Adam Smith International (ASI).

The programme targets future leaders in Libya committed to building a stable, prosperous future for the country. It aims to improve service delivery through fostering long-term institutional effectiveness and efficiency and cross-sectoral collaboration in Libya. The programme has already concluded two series of e-learning courses in 2017, in which more than 1,200 Libyans participated.

The training covers 15 areas of expertise, including governance, strategic planning, social entrepreneurship, public-private partnership, and communication. It will also offer hands-on experience and panel discussions with Arab and international speakers.

The training will support the interaction and relationship-building among participants from diverse professional backgrounds across Libya.

At the end of the course, certificates will be awarded to participants who complete all the programme requirements at a ceremony on January 30, 2019.
