The Bank’s Africa Urban Sanitation Investment Fund Program, with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is funding the initiative designed to focus on the poor.

17/10/2018 - The African Development Bank joined the international community in observing Global Handwashing Day on October 15. Global Handwashing Day, organized by the Global Handwashing Partnership, is intended to motivate and mobilize people around the world to improve their handwashing habits. It promotes handwashing with soap at critical points during the day, such as before cooking, eating, feeding others, or after using the toilet. These are key factors in disease prevention and can potentially lead to a 25-50 percent reduction in respiratory and intestinal diseases.

03/10/2018 - La Banque africaine de développement va appuyer le Gabon à résorber le déficit en eau potable de 50 000 m3 par jour, du Grand Libreville, comprenant les communes de Libreville, d’Akanda, d’Owendo et de Ntoum. A cet effet, le Conseil d’administration de la Banque a approuvé, mercredi 3 octobre 2018, un prêt de 75,4 millions d’euros au pays.

01/10/2018 - La Banque africaine de développement va aider le Sénégal à poursuivre son Programme d’urgence de développement communautaire, destiné à développer l’agriculture en milieu rural et à offrir aux populations des contrées les plus reculées du pays un meilleur accès aux services sociaux de base. Pour ce faire, la Banque vient d’accorder un prêt de 60 millions d’euros, entériné par son Conseil d’administration, jeudi 27 septembre 2017 à Abidjan.
