Youth employment takes centre stage at Central African Ministerial Conference in Yaoundé
Ministers in charge of finance, youth, employment and education of the Central Africa Region are meeting in Yaoundé on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 to discuss the African Development Bank’s Jobs for Youth in Africa Strategy, adopted in May 2016. The goal of this high-level meeting is to work towards improved policies, strategies, programs and projects focused on youth employment and entrepreneurship in the region. The conference will also create synergies between the AfDB and government officials, the private sector, youth organizations, development partners, civil society organizations and other key stakeholders.
Officials from Cameroon, Madagascar, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, São Tomé and Príncipe, Central African Republic and Democratic Republic of Congo are expected to attend the event.
