NIGERIA: African Development Bank’s Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa approves $500,000 grant for clean energy20-Sep-2019 - The Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA), managed by the African Development Bank, has approved a $500,000 grant to support the development and launch of the Nigeria Energy Access Fund (NEAF), a new private equity fund developed by All On, a Nigerian impact investment firm financed by Shell. NEAF will make strategic investments in sustainable energy in Nigeria, particularly in the country’s burgeoning off-grid and mini-grid sectors.
20-Sep-2019 - The Board of the African Development Bank approved a proposal for $17.7 million on 5 September, 2019 to finance the first social sector project in South Sudan since the Bank’s engagement in the country in 2012. The first day brought together staff and consultants based in the Southern Africa regional office in Pretoria and country offices, while the second day was designed for consultants and contractors working with the Bank.
