En janvier 2008, le Conseil d’administration a approuvé une mise à jour de la stratégie PSD et un plan de développement des opérations du secteur privé (PSO) pour le travail du département du secteur privé (OPSM). La mise à jour de la stratégie PSD réaffirme la conviction de la Banque qu’un développement ascendant accéléré du secteur privé constitue la clé de la réalisation des objectifs du millénaire pour le développement.

AfDB President Wraps Up Visit to Japan AfDB President, Donald Kaberuka, on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, ended his official visit to Japan. AfDB Supports Franchising in Egypt - US$ 40 Million for Franchising Sector Support Program

Tunis – 25 February 2009 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group has approved a US$ 40-million loan to finance a Franchising Sector Support Program (FSSP) in Egypt. The Program seeks to promote franchising in Egypt as an effective business strategy for private sector development and SME growth. Tunisia - Monastir and Enfhida Airports Project - ESIA Summary

This is a Category 2 project because a limited number of specific environmental and social impacts may result from minor upgrading in the existing airport facilities in Monastir and from construction and operation of the new airport at Enfidha1 . These impacts, including land acquisition and resettlement, being implemented by the Government, are being managed, in close detail, to international standards and best practices.
