The All Groups CPI was 116.25 in the month of October 2019, compared with 116.07 in the month of September 2019. The monthly change, October 2019 compared to September 2019, was a decrease of 0.15 percent. This is compared to a monthly increase of 0.57 percent in the previous month of September 2019. Horn of Africa countries launch regional initiative as peace dividend beckons, $15 billion investment on the cards

Five Horn of Africa countries have launched an initiative to forge closer economic ties, building on the improving political climate in the sub-region. There were no significant monthly price increases during the month of September. Over the twelve months to the month of September 2019 (inflation rate), the All Groups CPI decreased 5.17 percent, compared with 5.80 percent over the twelve months to the month of August 2019.
