The African Development Bank (AfDB) has been requested by ONEE-BE to support the financing of the Power Transmission and Rural Electrification Networks Development Project. According to AfDB Operational Safeguard Policies and Procedures, the Power Transmission and Rural Electrification Networks Development Project is classified in Category 1 and its implementation is subject to a Strategic Environmental and Social Assessment (SESA), which will serve as a basis for the preparation of ESIA/ESMPs.
