African Development Bank’s Board of Directors approves the Bank’s borrowing program for 2021
The 2021 Borrowing Program of the African Development Bank has been approved by the Board of Directors for up to $10.4 billion to be raised from capital markets. This program will allow the Bank to raise funds in the debt capital markets in order to help finance the Bank’s projects and programs in Africa. The approval was made on December 11,2020.
Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa and Clean Technology Fund provide $25 million in funding for medium scale independent power producers
The African Development Bank’s Board of Directors on Monday 14 December 2020 approved $15 million from the Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA) and $10 million from the Clean Technology Fund (CTF) to advance African Renewable Energy Fund (AREF) II’s projects to boost low-carbon energy generation in sub-Saharan Africa.
African Development Bank Group Approves EUR400 million Lusophone Compact Guarantee program to boost private sector development
The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group on Wednesday approved the Lusophone Compact Guarantee Program (LCGP or the Compact), with a maximum risk exposure of up to EUR400 million. The new Compact offers a big boost to business development initiatives for the Bank’s non-sovereign portfolio in its Portuguese-speaking African member countries.
Sahel Group of Five: African Development Bank approves program to expand solar energy generation under Desert-to-Power scheme
