Making Finance Work for Africa partnership holds virtual 2020 Annual General Assembly

Making Finance Work for Africa (MFW4A), a unique platform for African financial sector development research, advocacy, knowledge management and networking, hosted its 2020 Annual General Assembly (AGA) amidst a global pandemic that has disrupted markets and left the continent hurting.

The two-day virtual meeting themed “Financial Sector Development in the Era of COVID,” took place from 9 to10 December 2020.

African Development Bank approves $14.96 million project to boost women entrepreneurs in Sudan

The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank has approved financing for a $14.96 million project to help women in Sudan access finance and grow their businesses.

The Accelerating Women’s Entrepreneurship and Access to Finance (AWEAF) project will address capacity, financing, and knowledge gaps for Sudan’s women entrepreneurs.

The financing comes in the form of a grant.
