Congo: AfDB Group Supports Socio-economic Reintegration of Disadvantaged Groups
Ouagadougou, 17 May 2006 – The African Development Bank Group and the Government of Congo today in Ouagadagou signed a grant agreement of 14.8 million Units of Account, (equivalent to US$ 21.7 million) to finance the socio-economic reintegration of disadvantage groups in Congo.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Lotfi Chakroun, ADB OCCC Director, and Mr. Pacifique Issoibeka, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Budget of Congo.
SADC: AfDB Group Supports Shared Watercourses Project
Ouagadougou, 18 May 2006 - The African Development Fund and SADC today in Ouagadagou signed a grant agreement of 9.38 million Units of Accounts(UA*), equivalent to US$ 13.80 millions to finance the SADC Shared Watercourses Support Project for Ruvuma, Buzi and Save River Basin.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Mandla Gantsho, AfDB Vice President of Operations ONVP, and Dr. T. Salomao, SADC Executive Secretary.
Gestion du bétail ruminant en Afrique de l’Ouest - 29,96 millions de dollars EU pour la Gambie, la Guinée, le Mali, le Sénégal
Ouagadougou, 17 May 2006 – Le Fonds africain de développement et les Gouvernements de Gambie, Guinée, Mali et Sénégal ont signé ce jour à Ouagadougou, un prêt de 9,76 million d’unités de compte (UC*) équivalant à 14.36 millions de dollars EU et un don de 10,24 UC, équivalant à 15,6 million de dollars EU pour financer un projet de gestion durable du bétail ruminant endémique en Afrique de l’Ouest (Gambie, Guinée, Mali et le Sénégal).
AfDB Signs Financing Agreements with its Regional Member Countries
Maputo, Mozambique, 15 May 2008 – Highlights of the 2008 meetings include the admission of Turkey as the 26th Non-regional member of the Bank Group, the signing of an agreement extending the Nigerian Trust Fund (NTF), the second concessional loan window Group.
The Board of Governors (finance and/or economy ministers) representing 78 member countries of the Bank Group also considered and endorsed ongoing reforms at the institution and the Bank’s preliminary response to the recommendations of an Independent High Level Panel set up to reflect on the future of the Bank.
Mali: AfDB Bank Group Supports Agricultural Production and Income
Ouagadougou, 17 May 2006 – The African Development Fund and the Government of Mali today in Ouagadagou signed a loan agreement of 14.92 million Units of Account, (equivalent to US$ 22 million or CFAF 11.8 billion) for agricultural production in the region of Bamako, Mali. The loan will finance the Baguineda Irrigation Scheme Intensification Project (30 km to Bamako’s North East, on the right bank of River Niger).
The agreement was signed by Mrs. Zeinab El-Bakri, ADB Vice President of Operations, and Mr. Aboubakar Traore, Minister of the Economy and Finance of Mali.
