COMESA - AfDB Group Supports Reforms in Procurements
Tunis, 21 July 2006 – The Board of Directors of the African Development Fund, the concessional arm of the African Development (AfDB) Group on Friday in Tunis approved a grant of 5.66 million Units of Account (UA*) equivalent to US$ 8.37 million to finance procurement reforms and capacity building project in the COMESA states.
CAR and CEMAC Sign US$ 67 Million Transport Facilitation Project Grant Agreements
Tunis, 29 February 2007 – The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group on Friday in Tunis signed three grant agreements of 41.8 million Units of Account (UA*), equivalent to US$ 66.68 million, with the Central African Republic (CAR) and the Economic and Monetary Union of Central African States (CEMAC) to finance the Douala-Bangui and Douala-Ndjamena road corridor, linking Cameroon, the CAR and Chad.

Tunis, 21 July 2006 – The Board of Directors of the African Development Fund (ADF), the concessional arm of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, on Friday in Tunis, approved a grant of 3.30 million Units of Account (UA*) equivalent to US$ 4.88 million, to finance the rehabilitation of the Economic Planning Capacity Project (PARCPE)in the Central African Republic (CAR).
AfDB and Cameroon Sign US$ 76.6 Million Transport Facilitation Project Loan
Tunis, 22 February 2007 – The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group and Cameroon signed an agreement for a loan of 48 million Units of Account (UA*), equivalent to US$ 76.57 million (FCFA 36 billion) to finance the Douala-Bangui and Douala Ndjamena road corridor, linking Cameroon, the Central African Republic (CAR) and Chad.
AfDB Signs € 10 Million Private Sector Loan Agreement with SIAT-Gabon for Agricultural Expansion Project
Tunis, 19 February 2008 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group has signed an agreement for a loan of € 10 million under its private sector window with the Tropical Agriculture Investment Company (SIAT) of Gabon to finance an agriculture expansion project in the country.
The agreement was signed on Tuesday in Tunis by the Vice President in charge of Infrastructure, Private Sector and Regional Integration, Mandla Gantsho, and the Chairman of SIAT-Gabon, Pierre Vandebeeck, in the presence of the AfDB Executive Director for Gabon, Frederic Korsaga.
