Burkina Faso - Gets US$ 18.5 Million ADF Loan for Rural Development
Tunis, 21 July 2006 – Efforts deployed by the Government of Burkina Faso to develop rural parts of the country received support from the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group today with the approval of a loan of 12.50 million Units of Account (UC*) equivalent to US$ 18.49 million to finance the rural development project.

Togo: Institutional Capacity Building Support Project
Tunis, 24 July, 2006 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Fund on Monday in Tunis approved a grant to help the Togolese government’s efforts to improve macro-economic management as well as its bid to restore relations with various development partners.
The Institutional Capacity Building Support Project, financed by the ADF to the tune of 2.2 million Units of Account (US$ 3.3 Million or 1.7 billion CFA), will enable the government strengthen capacity in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of economic policies.
AfDB provides more than US$ 17 million to Liberia for Public Financial Management Reform
Tunis, 22 December 2008 – The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group has approved a grant of UA* 12 million, equivalent to US$ 17.86 million, for Liberia to finance the Public Financial Management Reform Support Programme (PFMRSP) I. The programme’s UA 9 million financing from the Fragile States Facility (FSF) is enhanced by a UA 3 million grant in the form of an allocation from the Surplus Account of the AfDB to the African Food Crisis Response (AFCR).
Rwanda: Bugesera Agricultural Development Support Project
Tunis, 24 July 2006 – The African Development Fund (ADF), the concessional window of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, will support the Rwandan government’s efforts to revive agricultural production in the drought-affected Bugesera Region with a grant of 10 million Units of Account (UA*), equivalent to US$ 14.79 million, approved by the Board of Directors of the Fund in Tunis on Monday.
