AfDB Group Private Sector provides Euro 34 million to OLEA CAPITAL FUND

Tunis, 27 November 2008 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB), through its private sector window approved today a Euro 34 million loan to OLEA CAPITAL FUND.

OLEA CAPITAL is an agro-industrial project aimed at producing olive oil in Morocco, combining super-intensive olive plantations over 10, 000 hectares and crushing factories.

AfDB Grants Supplementary Loan to Burkina Faso to Finance WAEMU/GHANA Road Programme 1

Tunis, November 25th, 2008 - The African Development Fund (ADF) Board of Directors has approved a supplementary loan of FCFA 12.350 billion (UA 18 million) for the WAEMU/Ghana Road Programme (RP1) with Burkina Faso as the beneficiary.

The RP I is the first programme implemented in the ECOWAS region under the NEPAD Short-Term Action Plan (STAP) for the transport sector. An ADF loan agreement and an ADF grant protocol agreement (UA 68 million) were signed on  December 18, 2003 with the governments of Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali and the WAEMU Commission to finance this project.

AfDB and UBA Sign Landmark USD 150 million Loan to Facilitate African Trade Finance

Tunis- 16 December 2009  On behalf of their respective institutions, Aloysius Uche Ordu, Vice President, Regional and Country Programs and Policy from the African Development Bank (AfDB) and Faith Tuedor-Matthews, Deputy Managing Director, from the United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) signed today, 16 December 2009 two loan agreements for a total of USD 150 million.

Togo: US$ 3.75 Million ADF Grant for Capacity Building and Bird Flu Control Programme

Tunis, 23 August 2006 – The Government of Togo will receive US$ 3.75 million from the African Development Fund (ADF), the concessional window of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group to finance its capacity building support project and an Avian Flu control programme following the signing of two grant protocols at the Bank on Wednesday in Tunis.
