AfDB and Korea Sign Supplementary Technical Cooperation Agreement
Dakar, Senegal, 18 May 2009 – Within the framework of the 2009 Annual Meetings, the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group and Korea signed a Supplementary Technical Cooperation Agreement on Thursday, May 14, 2009, in Dakar to further enhance collaboration between the two sides.
The agreement was signed by the AfDB Vice President for Operations (Regional and Country Programmes), Aloysius Ordu, and the Deputy Director-General of the International Finance Bureau in the Strategy and Finance Ministry, Jeong Eun-Bo, on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings.
Burundi: US$ 10.8 Million ADF Grant for Economic Reform Support Program
Tunis, 8 November 2006 – The African Development Fund (ADF) is supporting Burundi’s economic reform programme with a loan of 7.3 million Units of Account (US$ 10.8 million or 11,4 billion Burundian francs), approved today by the Fund’s Board of Directors.
AfDB Approves US$ 500,000 Post-Conflict Emergency Relief for Kenya
Tunis, 20 June 2008 – The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group has approved a grant of US$ 500,000.0 million from its Special Relief Fund (SRF) to finance emergency relief programmes to alleviate the sufferings of victims of the recent post-election violence in Kenya.

Gantsho, Vice President in charge of Infrastructure, Private Sector and Regional Integration of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) and Dr. Ersatus Akingbola, CEO of Intercontinental Bank Plc.(ICB) signed today a loan agreement for a Line of Credit (LoC) of USD 100 million to support the Intercontinental Bank Plc. of Nigeria to finance small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
Rwanda: ADF Road Project will help Open up Rural Areas
The Board of Directors of the ADF approved in Tunis on Monday, a loan of 15.20 million Units of Account (UA*), equivalent to 23.35 million US dollars to finance the Gitarama-Ngororero-Mukamira road project.
