The AfDB Approved a Line of Credit of USD 30 Million to the African Banking Corporation Holdings Ltd
Tunis, 25 November 2009 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) approved a Line of Credit of USD 30 million to the African Banking Corporation Holdings Ltd (ABCH) under AfDB’s Liquidity Facility window. The proposed Line of Credit will feature a 5 year tenor and a 2-year grace period and will benefit ABCH’s banking subsidiaries in Botswana, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zimbabwe and contribute towards financing the ABCH’s pipeline projects totaling USD 96 million.
Uganda / Road Sector Support Project Supplementary ADF Loan of US$ 50 million
Tunis, 20 December 2006 – The Board of Directors of the African Development Fund (ADF) today approved in Tunis a supplementary loan of 32.99 million Units of account* (approximately US$ 50 million or 88.9 billion Ugandan Shillings) to finance a road sector support project in Uganda.
AfDB approves US$ 420 million and EUR 186 million budget support loan for Mauritius
Tunis, 25 November 2009 – The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group has approved a second budget support loan of US$ 420 million and EUR 186 million to finance the Competitiveness and Public Sector Efficiency (CPSE) Programme in Mauritius. The programme will sustain economic growth and employment against the backdrop of the ongoing global recession, while not losing momentum on long-term reforms needed to make Mauritius more competitive.
Le FAD et le Sénégal signent des accords de prêt et de don
Ces trois accords, dont le montant total s’élève à 11,88 millions d’unités de compte (17,81 millions de dollars EU), financeront le projet d’électrification rurale dans la région de Louga et le projet multinational de lutte contre la prolifération des plantes aquatiques en Afrique de l’Ouest.
Ces trois accords ont été signés par M. Théodore Nkodo, vice-président du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement pour les opérations Nord, Est et Sud, et par M. Abdourahmane Sow, ambassadeur du Sénégal à Tunis.
