Seychelles: AfDB Approves € 15 Million Loan for Economic Governance Reform Program in Seychelles
Tunis, 20 July 2009 – The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group on Monday, 20 July 2009 in Tunis approved a € 15 million loan to finance an Economic Governance Reforms Program (EGRP) in the Seychelles.
ADF, ECCAS sign grant agreement : institutional support project of the general secretariat of the ECCAS
The ADB Vice-President for Central and West operations, Mr. Bisi Ogunjobi and the ECCAS General Secretary, Louis Sylvain-Goma signed in Tunis a grant agreement of 2.59 million Units of Account (UA*), equivalent to 3.88 million US dollars to finance an institutional support project of the general secretariat of the ECCAS.
The ADF grant will be used to revitalise and build the Secretariat’s ability to act in matter of economic integration and regional cooperation, through restructuring and implementation of its work programme.
Green light for AfDB regional office in Dakar: The AfDB will have 25 representation offices in Africa at the end of 2006
Tunis, 28 December 2004 – The Senegalese National Assembly has ratified the agreement establishing the African Development Bank (ADB) Group regional office in Dakar.
The Regional office covers the activities of the ADB and the African Development Fund (ADF) in Senegal, Mauritania, The Gambia and Cape Verde.
Donors agree on Tenth Replenishment of the African Development Fund
Copenhagen, 17 December 2004 – The African Development Fund (ADF) Deputies met in Copenhagen, Denmark, on December 16-17, 2004, for the Tenth Replenishment of the African Development Fund. Representatives of borrowing countries (Burundi, Ethiopia, Mali and Zambia) also participated in the replenishment discussions.
AfDB Approves US$ 12 Million for Administrative Capacity Building Project in Guinea Bissau
Tunis, 15 July 2009 – Guinea Bissau will get a US$ 12.10 million grant, equivalent to the Bank’s 7.8 million Units of Account*, to finance the country’s Administrative Capacity Building Support Project, approved by the Board on Wednesday in Tunis.
The project is designed to improve the supply, conditions and quality of vocational training in administration; help to build capacity in the economic, financial and administrative arms of the government as well as ensure the computerization of the public procurement management system.
