Mali : 33,6 milliards de FCFA et 76,2 milliards de FCFA additionnels pour le développement de l’irrigation
Le Conseil d’administration du Fonds africain de développement (FAD) a approuvé, en sa session du 27 mai 2009, à Tunis, l’octroi d’un prêt de 33,6 milliards de F CFA, soit environ 65,65 millions de dollars E.U., pour le financement du Programme de développement de l’irrigation dans le bassin du Bani et à Sélingué (PDI-BS), au Mali.
Ce financement représente environ 31 % du montant total du programme, estimé à 109, 8 milliards de FCFA (environ 215 millions de dollars E.U.).
Agreement for the establishment of an African Development Bank Regional Office in Cameroon
An agreement was signed on 16 May 2006 in Ouagadougou between Mr. Donald Kaberuka, President of the African Development Bank Group, and Mr. Abah Abah Polycarpe, Cameroon’s Minister of Finance. The Agreement provides for the establishment of an African Development Bank Regional Office in Cameroon. The Office will be responsible for operations in Cameroon and the Central African Republic.
African Water Facility Grant of 999 000 euros to the Kingdom of Swaziland
The AfDB group, on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, approved an African Water Facility grant of € 999,000 to Swaziland to finance the implementation of Phase II studies of the Lower Usuthu Smallholder Irrigation Project (LUSIP). The studies comprise feasibility studies for a 51 km extension of the main irrigation canal and the preparation of chiefdom development plans which include the provision of water supply and sanitation facilities in an area situated in the south-east of Swaziland.
AfDB Approves CFAF 750 Million Equity Investment in Banque Congolaise de l’Habitat
