Casamance Rural Development Support Project
Tunis, 19 October 2005 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Fund (ADF), the soft loan window of the African Development Bank Group, today in Tunis approved a loan of 20 million Units of Account* (US$ 30 million or CFA 24 billion) to finance the Casamance Rural Development Support Project in Senegal.
The project falls within the framework of the Program to revive economic and social activities in Casamance put in place by the Government and supported by the donor community, with a view to bolstering the process of return of peace in the region.
Benin: Growth and Poverty Reduction Strategy Support Programme: US$ 33 Million ADF Budget Support Loan and Grant
Tunis, 29 April 2009 – The Republic of Benin will receive a US$ 33 million combined loan and grant approved on Wednesday in Tunis by the Board of Directors of the African Development Fund (ADF), the concessionary window of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, to finance the country’s Third Growth and Poverty Reduction Strategy Support Programme (GPRSSP III).
The Netherlands Boosts AfDB Water Initiative
Tunis, 29 September 2006 – The Netherlands today granted the ADB a grant of US$ 25 million to finance the Bank’s operations in the water sector.
This contribution comes on the heels of the successful visit to the Bank and discussions held with President Donald Kaberuka by Netherlands Minister for Development Cooperation Mrs A. van Ardenne van der Hoeven in February 2006.
AfDB’s First Private Sector Investment in Algeria: €6 million Partial Credit Guarantee Facility to Maghreb Leasing Algeria
Tunis, 22 April 2009 – The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group approved on Wednesday, 22 April 2009 in Tunis a Euro 6 million partial credit guarantee facility to Maghreb Leasing Algérie (MLA). This instrument will enable the company to raise the equivalent of € 12 million in Algerian Dinars through a consortium of local banks.
African Development Bank enables Public Private Dialogue in Lesotho
The African Development Bank and the Lesotho Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) signed a Fund for African Private Sector Assistance (FAPA) grant agreement of US $915,000 to finance the Economic Diversification Support Technical Assistance Project.
