AfDB Group Supports Environmental Conservation in Angola
Tunis, 11 March 2009 – The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group will help support environmental conservation and sustainable development in Angola with a loan of 12 million Units of Account, equivalent to US$ 17.6 million approved on Wednesday in Tunis by the institution’s Board of Directors.
Kenya: Green Zones Project
Tunis, 12 October 2005 – The African Development Fund (ADF), the concessional window of the African Development Bank (ADB) Group, has approved a loan of 25.04 million Units of Account (UA)*, equivalent to US$ 36.18 million, to finance the Green Zones Development Support Project in Kenya.
Ghana: US$ 43 Million for Energy Development and Access Program
Tunis, 28 November 2007 – The African Development Fund (ADF) will support efforts by the Ghanaian government to resolve the problem of unreliable energy supply which is negatively impacting the economy, with a 27.60 million Units of Account (UA*), about US$ 43.38 million loan, approved by the ADF’s Board on Wednesday in Tunis.
AfDB Supports Satellite Communication in Africa-A Senior Loan of US$ 25 million to finance the New Dawn Satellite Project
Tunis, 11 March 2009 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group on Wednesday in Tunis approved a loan of US$ 25 million for the New Dawn Satellite Project.
Ghana: Urban Poverty Reduction Project
Tunis, 12 October 2005 – The board of directors of the African Development Fund (ADF) approved a loan of 25 million Units of Account* (US$ 36 million or 330 billion Cedi) to finance the Urban Poverty Reduction Project in Ghana.
The project aims at contributing to Ghana’s efforts to achieving the Millennium Development Goal that calls for a reduction by half of the proportion of poor living on less than a dollar a day through urban poverty reduction strategies.
