ADF Supports Niger’s 5th Structural Adjustment Programme

Tunis, 21 September 2005 – The Board of Directors of the African Development Fund (ADF) on Wednesday approved a loan of 18 million Units of Account* (US$ 26.3 million) to finance Niger's 5th Structural Adjustment Programme (2005-2006), aimed at improving management of public finance, promoting good governance, strengthening decentralization and the monitoring/evaluation of poverty reduction programmes.

ADF Supports Health Services Project in Sierra Leone with a grant of US$ 25 Million

Tunis, 7 September 2005 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Fund (ADF), the concessional window of the African Development Bank (ADB) Group, on Wednesday in Tunis, approved a grant of 17 million Units of Account (UA*), equivalent to US$ 24.81 million, to finance the strengthening of the District Health Services Project in Sierra Leone.

Nigeria-The AfDB offers US$ 100 million Line of Credit to Intercontinental Bank Plc

Tunis–18 February 2009- The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) approved a US$ 100-million Line of Credit (LoC) to support Nigeria’s Intercontinental Bank Plc. in financing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The LoC will be used for medium- to long-term financing for SMEs in manufacturing, services, and natural-resource projects across Nigeria. These projects will ultimately enhance productive capacity and growth in the country.
