AfDB Provides US$ 9.24 Million as Additional Support to Guinea Bissau’s Health Programme
Tunis, January 7, 2009 – The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group has approved the restructuring of the support programme to National Health Development Programme (Health-II) and has provided a grant of UA 6 million, equivalent to US$ 9.24 million, from the Fragile States Facility (FSF) for Guinea Bissau.
RASCOM: AfDB Strengthens Africa’s Telecommunications Sector
Tunis, 24 July 2007 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (ADB) on Tuesday in Tunis approved a US $ 50-million senior loan under its private sector window in support of a Regional African Satellite Communications Organization Members (RASCOM) Telecommunications Project.
Burkina Faso: US$ 45 million for water and sanitation

Tunis, 24 July 2007 – Some 3 million persons will benefit from improved access to drinking water and sanitation in Burkina Faso following the approval of a loan and a grant to finance a water and sanitation project in the country.
The AfDB Approved an Equity of USD 30 Million to the African Infrastructure Investment Fund 2
Tunis, 25 November 2009- The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) approved an equity investment of USD 30 million to the African Infrastructure Investment Fund 2 which is the successor Fund of the African Infrastructure Investment Fund 1 and it will be a closed-end fund with a term of 13 years. The Fund will invest in infrastructure projects such as airport, road, power, telecommunications, rail, port, water and social infrastructure, primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Nigeria: US$ 53 Million ADF Loan to Improve Rural Transport Infrastructure

Tunis, 18 July 2007 – The African Development Fund (ADF), the concessional window of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group on Wednesday in Tunis approved a loan of UA 35.27 million, equivalent to US$ 53.45 million, to help finance a Rural Access and Mobility Project in Nigeria’s Cross River State.
