ADF Promotes Quality of Agricultural Production in Ghana
Tunis, 13 July 2005 – The Board of Directors of the African Development Fund (ADF), the concessional window of the African Development Bank (ADB) Group, approved in Tunis on Wednesday, a loan of 17 million Units of Account* (US$ 24.7 million) to finance the Export Marketing and Quality Awareness Project in Ghana.
The project will contribute towards the goal of increasing the export earnings of non traditional agricultural products. The objective of the project is to increase incomes of horticulture crop farmers and exporters and of cassava producers.

ADF Supports Communal Forests Management in Benin
Tunis, 6 July 2005 – The Board of Directors of the African Development Fund (ADF), the concessional window of the African Development Bank (ADB) Group, approved today in Tunis a loan in favour of Benin of 35 million Units of Account (UA*) equivalent to US$ 51.6 million to finance the Communal Forests Management Support Project (PAGEFCOM).
The project will contribute towards poverty reduction. Its specific objective is to contribute to the sustainable management of forest resources and to the improvement of the population’s incomes and living conditions.
AfDB Promotes Environment-friendly Industrial Development in Tunisia
Tunis, 29 June 2005 – The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group on Wednesday in Tunis approved a loan to Tunisia of 33 million Units of Account (UA*) equivalent to US$ 50 million to finance a Capacity Building in Environmental Protection and Phosphate Mining (CPG) project.
