BAD–Sénégal : 43 millions de dollars pour améliorer la gouvernance financière et le climat des affaires

Le Conseil d'administration du Fonds africain de développement (FAD, guichet concessionnel du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement), a approuvé à Tunis, le mercredi 6 juillet 2011, un don de 27 millions d’UC, équivalent à 43 millions de dollars US, pour le financement du Programme d’appui aux réformes (PARE) en faveur de la République du Sénégal.

Le PARE a pour finalité de contribuer à l’amélioration de la gouvernance financière et du climat des affaires. Les deux objectifs spécifiques du programme sont :

Antananarivo, November 4th, 2008 - CRMU in collaboration with the African Development Bank Integrity and Anti-Corruption Division (IACD) and the Bank’s Field Office in Madagascar co-organized a series of national seminars targeting government officials, civil society and the Bank staff in the country. AfDB approves USD 64 Million for Agriculture Marketing Infrastructure programme in Tanzania

The Board of Directors of the African Development Fund (ADF), the concessional window of the AfDB Group, on 29 June, approved a USD 64 million (40 million Units of Account) loan to Tanzania. The amount will be disbursed under the Marketing Infrastructure Value Addition and Rural Finance Programme (MIVARFP), which will be implemented over five fiscal years, 2011 – 2016.

Migrant Remittances Development Challenge

The African Development Bank (AfDB) gives high priority to promoting remittances by migrant workers, in view of its impact on poverty alleviation in countries of origin. Indeed, several studies conclude that migrant remittances play an increasing role in the economies of highmigration countries. However, despite their importance, several gray areas persist regarding the market structure and the utilization of these resources.
