Mozambique: AWF supports multi-purpose water storage project to build climate resilience in Limpopo river basin

The African Water Facility announced on December 15 that is has offered a €3.4 million grant to the Government of Mozambique to conduct a feasibility study for the development of a climate adaptation project in the lower Limpopo region. This project will include building infrastructure to protect the Limpopo basin from floods and droughts and will increase food security by boosting agricultural production.

African Legal Support Facility Director pays courtesy visit to AfDB President

The African Legal Support Facility (ALSF) Director, Stephen Karangizi, paid a courtesy visit to the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, Akinwumi Adesina, on December 8, 2015.

Hosted by AfDB, the ALSF is implementing 52 projects in 35 of the African Development Bank’s regional member countries. The projects are in the areas of negotiations of agreements in the extractives sector; infrastructure development (the energy sector); investment agreements; related commercial and business transactions; as well as debt management and litigation.

Maroc : la BAD octroie un prêt de 73 millions € à Attijariwafa Bank

Attijariwafa Bank (AWB), le plus important groupe bancaire du Maroc, bénéficiera d’un prêt de 73 millions d’euros, pour un projet destiné à étendre ses activités, tant au Maroc qu’en Afrique subsaharienne, après que les administrateurs du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD), en ont approuvé l’octroi, lundi 15 Décembre 2014,  à  Abidjan. Ce prêt sera octroyé via le Fonds africain de développement (FAD).
