Le département Afrique du Nord de la BAD se mobilise à Tunis contre la violence à l’égard des femmes

Dans le cadre de sa contribution à la Campagne du Secrétaire général des Nations Unies «Tous UNIS pour mettre fin à la Violence à l’égard des Femmes», et en conformité avec sa mission, la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) a choisi cette année de traiter le thème: «Les Femmes en Première Ligne du Développement: la Lutte contre la Violence».

Africa Water Facility Plans for the Next Decade

From November 25 to 27, the Africa Water Facility (AWF) engaged stakeholders in a series of activities to conduct an evaluation of its performance in the last decade and also to map out a Long-Term Strategy going forward.

On November 25, a strategy review was conducted as the current AWF Strategic Plan extends only until the end of 2016. As the AWF reaches the mid-point in its intended life-cycle, such a milestone naturally provides an opportunity to reflect on the past 10 years and chart the way forward for the 2017-2030 strategic period.

Multilateral Development Banks Join Forces to Ramp up Climate Action in Transport

Eight multilateral development banks today issued a joint statement, committing to accelerate their efforts to mitigate transport emissions and recognizing the need for more action on the resilience of transport to climate change.  The sector accounts for about 60% of global oil consumption, 27% of all energy use, and 23% of world energy-related CO2 emissions.
