ALSF concludes training on negotiating financial agreements
The African Legal Support Facility (ALSF); on November 6, concluded a five-day training workshop for government officials on negotiating financial agreements.
Twenty officials representing the Ministry of Finance and Economic Cooperation and other government agencies participated in the training designed to expose officials to aspects of negotiation of financial instruments so that they are better able to explore, develop, and implement strategies to conclude balanced agreements.
Skills development critical for successful public private partnerships
A five-day training on Public Private Partnerships (PPP) organised by the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF) started on November 2, 2015 at the African Development Bank offices in Abidjan. The workshop is intended to provide 35 government officials from 10 francophone African States with the capacity to structure PPP projects in an effort to efficiently bridge Africa’s infrastructure financing needs.
AfDB mitigates Cameroon’s Eurobond Currency Risk
The African Development Bank (AfDB), approved on July 9th 2015 a EUR 500 million partial credit guarantee to cover the payment obligations of the Republic of Cameroon related to the cross currency swaps executed with commercial banks to hedge the proceeds of a USD denominated Eurobond currently being marketed.
