AfDB approves a $ 33.3-million Regional Post Ebola Recovery Social Investment Fund
On October 21, 2015, the African Development Bank Group’s (AfDB) Board of Executive Directors approved a US $33.3-million grant to set up a Post Ebola Recovery Social Investment Fund (PERSIF) intended to support the implementation of the National Post Ebola Recovery strategies of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

The Board of Director of the African Development Bank Group met in its ordinary session on October 21, 2015 in Abidjan, and approved the Ketta-Djoum road development and Yaoundé-Brazzaville corridor transport facilitation project-Phase 2, with a view to boosting economic and social development and regional integration in the Economic Community for Central African States area (ECCAS).

AfDB hosts “Africa Workshop” to refine the OECD “States of Fragility” model
The African Development Bank’s (AfDB) Transition Support Department co-hosted a workshop with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on October 19, 2015. The event was part of a series of consultative workshops by the OECD, to refine the concept and dimensions of a new model of fragility, in preparation for the “States of Fragility Report 2016”.
