Lors de sa réunion  hebdomadaire, le Conseil d’administration du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) a approuvé, le 29 avril 2015, un Projet d’appui au pôle de croissance de Bagré (PAPCB), au Burkina Faso. Montant de l’aide octroyée à ce projet, qui sera déployé sur cinq ans : 16,4 milliards de FCFA (soit 30,4 millions de dollars EU), qui serviront à développer des infrastructures et des chaînes de valeur agricoles.

‘Africa and the new global landscape’: AfDB announces theme and agenda for 2015 Annual Meetings

The 2015 Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank will explore the theme of ‘Africa and the new global landscape’, with special focus on Africa’s approach to three critical global developments in 2015.  
These are the international conference on Financing for Development, to be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in July 2015; the UN conference on Sustainable Development Goals set for September 2015 in New York; and the UN Climate Change conference (COP21) to be held in Paris, in December 2015. 

AfDB now supports 30 countries to advance on environment-smart projects with GEF: annual report

The African Development Bank (AfDB) is an implementing agency for the Global Environment Facility since 2008. The relatively young portfolio has 28 projects over 30 countries on the continent according to the 2014 AfDB and GEF annual report released on Monday, May 4. The portfolio size has been multiplied by 10 during the last five years and is now worth more than USD 200 million.
