The African Development Bank and the South African Embassy in Cote d’Ivoire Honor Nelson Mandela

The African Development Institute (ECAD), a knowledge promotion and capacity development department of the African Development Bank, and the Embassy of South Africa in Cote d’Ivoire have successfully hosted the Nelson Mandela Centenary Public Lecture, in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, on September 17, 2018.

AfDB facilitates digital financial inclusion of small-scale farmers in Togo

After its success in Liberia, the African Development Bank is supporting another digital payment project in line with its agriculture transformation agenda. “AGRIPME” (Agri Porte Monnaie Electronique) is a joint project of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Digital Economy in Togo aiming to provide subsidies to farmers through electronic wallets provided by mobile network operators MOOV and TOGOCEL.

AfDB workshop on PPPs to enhance skills in infrastructure and social services financing

The African Development Bank (AfDB) has organised a regional training workshop on Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects in the education and healthcare sectors, taking place from August 31 to September 3, 2016 in Tunis. 

The objective of the event is to promote capacity building for key interlocutors in North Africa to strengthen their skills in financing projects on infrastructure and social services. The workshop also seeks to encourage private sector participation in the region’s economy.
