Professor Oyejide was the founding Managing editor of the African Journal of Economic Policy, a distinguished Emeritus Professor of Economics at the University of Ibadan, and the Chairman, Centre for Trade and Development Initiatives (CTDi) in Nigeria.
His distinguished career in academics and consulting has seen him act as a Visiting Fellow at the Institute of International Economics University of Stockholm (1979) and the International Food Policy Research Institute, Washington (1985).
He has been a Consultant to the World Bank (1987) and several other supranational organizations (UNCTAD, WTO, AfDB and ECA).
His long years of distinguished economic research experience have included active involvement with the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) as a resource person and project coordinator.
Prior to specializing in Macroeconomics, Monetary economics and International Economics, he received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Ibadan (1968), Masters degree from London School of Economics (1969), Masters and PhD degrees from Princeton University (1970-1972).
