21/02/2019 - Today, Dr. Sahar Nasr, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, and Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, commended the African Development Bank for the strategic partnership behind Egypt’s economic transformation since the 2011 revolution. The two Ministers spoke at a joint press conference with the Bank at the signing of a grant agreement and the official release of the Bank’s 2018 Country Results Brief on Egypt.
21/02/2019 - The Fashionomics Africa initiative of the African Development Bank, together with the African Union, the AfroChampions initiative, and other institutional partners and private operators, launched the Pan-African Fashion initiative on 9 February during the recent AU meetings in Addis Ababa.

08/02/2019 - The Climate Investment Funds’ “The Power of 10: Shaping the Future of Climate Action” event took place on 28-29 January, 2019 in Ouarzazate, Morocco at the Noor concentrated solar power complex, the largest plant of its type in the world, providing renewable energy to more than 2 million households. The summit convened over 300 climate leaders from the public and private sectors for action-oriented dialogue on fighting climate change.

07/02/2019 - The African Development Institute of the African Development Bank is implementing the next African Global IT Leaders Programme under the aegis of the Korea-Africa Economic Cooperation (KOAFEC) Knowledge Sharing Programme (KSP). The objective of the programme is to create across the African continent a critical mass of global IT experts: highly trained professionals in ICT.
