13/12/2017 - To help speed up travel and transportation in Namibia, the Board of the African Development Bank has approved a loan of ZAR 2,000 million (US$ 153 million) to the Government of Namibia to upgrade a 210km stretch of railway in the west of the country. The support will also finance the upgrade of a section of the road from the capital, Windhoek, to its international airport.

29/03/2017 - Des administrateurs du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) effectueront une visite de terrain en Namibie, du 3 au 7 avril 2017, pour évaluer l’impact des projets financés par la BAD. Au programme de ces visites figurent des consultations avec les autorités gouvernementales et les autres partenaires au développement du pays.

14/02/2017 - The African Water Facility (AWF) and NEPAD Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility (NEPAD-IPPF) signed on January 31, 2017 in Pretoria, South Africa, a letter of agreement with the Orange Senqu River Basin Commission (ORASECOM) to launch the Climate Resilient Water Resources Investment Strategy and Multipurpose Project Preparation for the Orange-Senqu River Basin, shared by Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and South Africa. The co-financed project, amounting to about €3.5 million, includes contributions from AWF of about €2 million and $1.2 million from NEPAD-IPPF.
