Objectives

1. Overall Objectives: With the anticipated improvement in the economy, one of Government's objectives is to focus attention on the rehabilitation and improvement of transport services in order to meet demand for both domestic and international communications. 2. Specific Objective: The objective of the first phase of the study are: a) to determine the technical feasibility and economic and financial viability of the rehabilitation and improvements of airports, airfields and civil aviation installations under the control of the Directorate of Civil Aviation (DCA) and the National Corporation Ltd (NACL); and b) to establish the institutional development requirements of the DCA and the NACL. Subject to positive identification and recommendation in the first phase, the objectives of the second phase are to enable production of detailed engineering designs and contract documents for the procurement of selected priority works.

Description

The study involves: i) undertaking a feasibility study to determine the technical feasibility and economic and financial viability of the rehabilitation and improvements required at airports, airfields and civil aviation installations under the control of the Directorate of Civil Aviation (DCA) and the National Airports Corporation Ltd. (NACL); ii) to establish the institutional development needs of the DCA and NACL.
