Le projet d’extension du nouveau terminal à conteneurs du port de Walvis Bay visait à étendre le terminal à conteneurs sur des terres gagnées sur la mer à l’intérieur du chenal de Walvis Bay, pour porter la capacité annuelle de traitement de 355 000 EVP à 1 005 000 EVP. Le projet englobait une composante logistique et de renforcement des capacités, destinée à compléter l’extension du port.
