Ethiopia - Structural Adjustment Programme - PPER
This Programme Performance Evaluation Report (PPER) reviews the Structural Adjustment Programme which the Bank, along with other donors, financed for the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia during the period 1993 to 1996. The loan for an amount of UA 63.55 million was approved on 23 June 1993. The Borrower was the Government of Ethiopia (GOE) and the Executing Agency was the Ministry of Finance. The Programme was a multi-donor balance of payments support, to which the International Development Agency (IDA), the World Bank’s soft window, was the most important contributor, with 69% of the total amount, while the African Development Fund (ADF) contributed 24% on behalf of the Bank Group.
