African Development Bank's Business Opportunities Seminar, a one-stop forum for doing business

The Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Department (FIRM) of the African Development Bank is hosting a Business Opportunities Seminar (BOS) on March 22-23, 2018, at the Bank’s Headquarters in Abidjan.

The main purpose of a BOS is to present the business opportunities arising out of the Bank Group’s financing. Presentations are intended to provide an overview on the Bank Group’s policies and operations; procurement rules and procedures; and ongoing and potential country operations.

This will contribute to increasing the participation of business communities of beneficiary countries as part of the Bank’s operations and other public-private partnership activities in Africa.

Invitations are open to representatives and participants from member countries. A minimum of 100 participants is required to undertake a BOS.

The Bank Group organizes BOSs twice a year. The proposed dates for the 2018 BOSs are: March 22–23 in Abidjan, and November 22–23 2018 in South Africa.

The target participants include: individuals and consulting firms, civil works contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, commercial attaches of embassies from the regional and the Bank’s non-regional members.
