On Thursday 25, February beginning at 9 am GMT, The African Development Bank will organize a meeting with the theme, Promoting good governance of regional public institutions: the example of the African Training and Research Center in Administration for Development (CAFRAD)

Created in 1964, African Training and Research Center in Administration for Development (CAFRAD) is a pan-African intergovernmental organization headquartered in Rabat, Morocco. The organization has 37 member states and works to improve public administration and governance systems in Africa.

This virtual meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss emerging challenges facing regional public institutions in Africa –in the context of the COVID-19 crisis– and to present CAFRAD's new strategy, which revolves around four axes:

  1. Operational and strategic diagnostics of the institution;
  2. Identifying strategic options;
  3. Defining a target organizational model;
  4. Developing a roadmap.
