The African Development Bank Group and the government of Cote d’Ivoire will hold a seminar on business opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire at the Azalaï Hotel in Abidjan on 23 February 2023.

Objectives: to strengthen relations between the African Development Bank, the Ivorian authorities and the private sector. It also aims to support Côte d’Ivoire’s 2021-2025 National Development Plan, which prioritizes strengthening the private sector’s catalytic role.

As of 30 July 2022, the African Development Bank Group’s project portfolio in Côte d’Ivoire comprised 44 operations with a value of $2.61 billion (about CFAF 1,528 billion), including $672 million (CFA 419 billion, or 27.43% of the overall portfolio) allocated to private sector projects.

The seminar will advance the African Development Bank’s  strategy of structural transformation for the Ivorian economy. This aligns with its Private Sector Development Strategy 2021-2025, which has three major priorities: improving the business environment, promoting access to integrated socio-economic infrastructure and facilitating business development.
